The only thing muted you’ll find in her wardrobe is her black card, indeed!
Bronwyn Newport has once again proven she’s the high-fashion queen of the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” revealing that her reunion look is actually one-of-a-kind couture that was made for a supermodel.
Newport, who made her Bravo debut on this season of the reality show, posted behind-the-scenes pics with Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon, thanking him for the opportunity to purchase Karlie Kloss’ 2021 Met Gala gown.
“So grateful to @wesgordon and @carolinaherrera for taking Karlie Kloss’ actual Met Gala dress out of their archive and tailoring and selling to me for both this big day and my own collection,” she said.
“The dress on the Met Gala carpet was meant to symbolize America’s flower, the rose at the In America: A Lexicon of Fashion event.”
Continued Newport, “For me, it was a symbol of my hope for blossoming friendships in future after watching myself throughout the season, as long as we can all get past each other’s thorns! I also wanted to bookend my first season the way I started it… in big red shoulders!”
Big red (and celebrity-adjacent) shoulders have indeed become Newport’s trademark, as she appeared in the Season 5 premiere in the same oversized, heart-shaped Saint Laurent fur coat made famous by Rihanna.
And fans were absolutely loving her bold fashion choice for the reunion, per usual.
“You gave them a run for their MONEY 💴 😍😍 best dressed 100% 👏,” one person commented, while another said, “Only you could pull this off. Flawless Bronwynn [sic].”
A third wrote, “So proud of you this season ❤️ Best dressed and best come backs [sic]!! 😉”
The other Salt Lake City ‘wives were clad in shades of red and pink — though none as dramatic as Newport’s, of course.
Bronwyn has many friends in the fashion industry, too — like designer Christian Siriano, who extolled the star on a recent episode of “WWHL.”
The “Project Runway” alum dissed the “Housewives” in general, saying “they don’t pay” for his designs. But he named Newport as the exception, calling her his “No. 1 customer.”
“[She] has been shopping for years and spends real money and not ‘The Real Housewives’ money. I mean, I make her literally couture. All her confessionals are Siriano pieces,” he said of the fashionista.
Perhaps we’ll see Newport herself on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet this May.
