According to the Corriere dello Sport, Borussia Dortmund has reached a basic agreement with Nicolò Tresoldi's camp regarding a transfer.

The same can also be said for La Liga giants Atlético Madrid regarding the the financial parameters of a potential contract.

However, Dortmund is also waiting for the right moment to negotiate with Club Brugge for the German U-21 youth international.

Originally, his 23 goals and 9 assists in 58 games for Brugge looked likely to earn him a move to Italian outfit AS Roma.

Even with the Italian born striker keen to join the Serie A club, Roma reportedly have to prioritise transfers elsewhere before making an offer.

Back to BVB, it is still quite plausible that the departure of Dortmund's star striker Serhou Guirassy could open the door for Tresoldi.

Should the 30-year-old leave – perhaps to Fenerbahce – BVB wants to be prepared and have held interest in Tresoldi for some time.

Other candidates for center forward include Fisnik Asllani from TSG Hoffenheim and Randal Kolo Muani of Paris Saint-Germain.
