The Primera Liga side, however, are finding it tricky to afford the midfielder given his healthy salary paid by the Bavarian giants.

Benfica are considering offering a loan with an option to buy, or even an obligation to buy if necessary for João Palhinha, reports BILD.
For the Portuguese side, it's difficult to afford the package of permanent transfer fee and salary for the Bayern Munich man.
Even in the event that Palhinha were to accept a pay cut on his Bayern salary, Benfica would still struggle to bring in the midfielder.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern would be willing to agree to such a deal – one thing is for sure, Palhinha is not part of Bayern's plans.
Meanwhile, Sky Germany understands that the reigning German double champions will not bring in another midfielder this summer.
Even if the Portuguese international leaves, Bayern's chiefs believe there is enough depth t cover the No.6 and No.8 positions.
Last season, Palhinha was one of Tottenham Hotspur's standout players, producing 5 goals and 2 assists in 33 Premier League outings.
