Bayern talent Buchmann suffers another setback and undergoes surgery

The 21-year-old has fallen victim to a syndesmosis ligament injury which is expected to sideline him for a handful of months.

Tarek Buchmann, who returned to Bayern Munich this summer after his loan spell at 1.FC Nürnberg, has been dealt another setbacks.

The highly-rated central defender sustained a syndesmosis ligament injury and has already undergone surgery in Bavaria. 

As a result, the 21-year-old will be sidelined until further notice, with BILD speculating Buchmann to be sidelined for around 4 months.

This timeframe, however, depends on the progress of his rehab and whether there will be any complications during the recovery.

Buchmann's time at Bayern has been blighted by injuries over the years ranging from muscle tears to shoulder and foot problems.
