German publication Sport1 has backed up a previous report from Bild claiming that Aleksandar Pavlovic turned down interest from Manchester City back in March.

The Premier League giants were reportedly willing to pay up to €100 million for the FC Bayern and Germany midfielder, but Pavlovic had no interest in leaving Munich.

Manchester City subsequently turned their attention to other targets, signing Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi to strengthen their midfield during the summer transfer window.

Pavlovic, meanwhile, remained at Bayern Munich, where he is under contract until 2029.
