According to Sky Germany and journalist Fabrizio Romano, Antony Gordon is set up join FC Barcelona over Bayern Munich this summer.

Newcastle United's board and Saudi Arabian owners have reportedly accepted an offer worth €70million plus add-ons for the winger.

Furthermore, the 25-year-old is expected to travel to the reigning La Liga champions for a medical and officially sign this week.

Despite constantly being linked with the English international in recent weeks, Bayern are not planning to hijack Gordon's move to Barca.

The Premier League club are said to be fully focused on getting the deal across the line with Barcelona and not interested in the Bavarians.

David Ornstein, writing for The Athletic, suggests that Bayern were leading the race until they heard Newcastle's valuation.

When they discovered that the Magpies wanted a figure close to €80million, the Bavarians were unwilling to pay and will consider other options.
