Bayern Munich urged to sign PSG midfielder by former France international

Former France and Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol believes Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery would be a good fit for the German champions.

Willy Sagnol believes Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery would be a good fit for Bayern Munich.

Speaking to Sport Bild, the former Bayern and France defender explains that he sees the 20-year-old as the type of player who would suit the German champions.

“I’m a big fan of Warren Zaïre-Emery. In terms of his profile, he is very Bayern-like,” Sagnol said, adding:

“Zaïre-Emery has a great character, works hard and has developed very well technically.”

With the 20-year-old facing strong competition for a starting spot in central midfield at PSG, Sagnol speculates that he could look for more playing time elsewhere.

“If he sits on the bench too often in Paris, he might want to leave the club,” Sagnol said.

“However, he would be very expensive," he pointed out.

According to Transfermarkt, Zaïre-Emery’s market value stands at €80 million. His contract with the French capital club runs until 2029.
