Having attracted interest from a host of Bundesliga clubs, 16-year-old Hertha BSC starlet Kennet Eichhorn is currently weighing up his future.
According to Berliner Kurier, Bayern Munich may hold an advantage in the race, as Maurice Krattenmacher, currently on loan at Hertha, could be included in a potential deal.
Hertha managing director Peter Görlich has confirmed that talks are underway with Bayern regarding a possible continued arrangement for Krattenmacher.
“We are in talks with Bayern about ‘Kratti’, something might be possible there,” he told Berliner Kurier.
Eichhorn’s contract includes a release clause reportedly set at €10-12 million, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig among several other clubs said to be interested.
According to Sport Bild, the Hertha teenager is carefully considering the playing styles of the interested clubs, as well as his chances of getting the playing time needed to continue his development.
While a move to Bayern would offer the chance to be part of a highly competitive environment, his actual minutes on the pitch would likely be more limited than at some of the other interested clubs – at least initially.
