Bayern handed boost as Laimer joins up with Austrian national team

The 29-year-old appears to have overcome his adductor issue and rejoined the Austrian national team which can only bode well for Bayern.

Bayern Munich and Vincent Kompany have been handed a boost regarding the fitness of Konrad Laimer during the international break.

The 29-year-old has joined up with the Austrian national team having missed their pair of 3-1 wins over Israel and Kosovo last week.

Laimer was reportedly working hard on making his return to the pitch as he slowly rehabbed the adductor issue in his groin.

At the time, the Austrian missed Bayern's 7-0 crushing 1.FC Union Berlin before the players departed for UEFA Nations League duty. 

However, his return to Ralf Rangnick's squad means he is on track to feature for Bayern who face Augsburg when the Bundesliga resumes.

Laimer may even get some minutes in Austria's two upcoming group games against Ireland (1 October) and Kosovo once more (4 October).
