Bayer Leverkusen linked with Barcelona talent Hector Fort

The Rhineland club have supposedly identified La Masia talent Hector Fort as an option for summer.

According to transfer journalist Matteo Moretto, Bayer Leverkusen are reported to be interested in FC Barcelona talent Hector Fort.

Currently on a year-long loan spell at Elche, another loan or a permanent transfer away from the Catalans would be possible.

However, given Barcelona's ambitious transfer plans and their precarious financial situation, a sale would be the more likely option.

Fort reportedly intends to establish himself at Barça, but the right-footed player needs regular playing time to further his development.

Leverkusen can offer that in a top league, but the issue for the Werkself – Barcelona want Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni.

In this context, a player swap plus a transfer fee could become an option for the Italian giants who are also interested in the 19-year-old.
