According to AS' sources, Marc-André Ter Stegen is being linked with a summer transfer on a year-long loan to Ajax Amsterdam.

The transfer of the German international goalkeeper is reportedly close to being finalized with the Catalan giants.

Last season, Ter Stegen was due to get valuable minutes on loan at Girona, only for an untimely injury to curtail his playing time.

During that time, the La Liga club were coached by Míchel who has since joined Ajax and is a big fan of Ter Stegen.

This means the German national goalkeeper will be playing much closer to his homeland in the future.

Ajax have been interested in the goalkeeper, who is still under contract with Barcelona until 2028, for several weeks.

Inter Milan veteran Yann Sommer was also in talks with the Eredivise side, but is now close to a move to Club Brugge.
