‘Bachelorette’ star Devin Strader claims Jenn Tran lied about their breakup, shares their texts

The former “Bachelorette” contestant claimed his ex-fiancée Jenn Tran gave an “incredibly inaccurate” story about their breakup — and shared text messages between them to back his story.

In a lengthy, since-deleted Instagram video Tuesday, Strader, 28, shared that he was “stunned” when Tran, 26, said during the Season 21 finale of the ABC reality dating series last week that he had “ghosted” her the day after they got engaged and also refused to seek couples therapy.

The freight company owner claimed he even “scheduled multiple appointments” for counseling.

“We went to a couple sessions together. On top of that, Jenn and I were also doing individual counseling with our respective therapists from the show at the time,” he said in the video.

Strader went on to allege that Tran had fired their “mutual counselor” without consulting him, and that was when their sessions halted.

He went on to address Tran’s claim that he broke up with her during a “two-minute phone call” that left her “blindsided.”

“On the day that we broke up, I wasn’t acting weird. I really wanted to get to that happy couple [visit] and have that conversation with her in person. I did try to meet up with her,” he recalled.

Strader further claimed that Tran said she would not go if “it was just going to be a breakup,” so she “kind of forced [his] hand” to end their engagement over the phone.

The Houston native also accused the “Bachelor” alum of pulling a bait and switch on him by texting him that they were on “good terms” ahead of the “After the Final Rose” special and then ripping him to shreds during the taping.

He showed a screenshot of a text in which she purportedly confirmed they were “friends” in addition to another message saying she would “always be rooting” for him.

“It was really, really disheartening to hear the way Jenn described it because that wasn’t true, and we both knew that that wasn’t true,” he argued.

“But I didn’t want to fight with her. That wasn’t my intention. I never intended to go up there and bicker.”

Another point of contention between the exes was Strader’s admittedly “emotionally charged decision” to follow another “Bachelor” alum, Maria Georgas, on Instagram just one day after he split from Tran.

“I did apologize, and she is the only one who needed an apology. In that moment, I realized I made a mistake, and I am sorry to her for that. Reflecting back, I do realize that I did make a poor decision, and I shouldn’t be playing with people’s feelings, especially when it’s regarding their emotions,” he acknowleged.

Strader summarized the video and his feelings by reiterating that the relationship was taking “an emotional toll” on him, so he made a “decision based on [his] own happiness.”

“At the end of the day, what’s best for me is what’s best for me,” he said, later adding, “I was trying to go through those avenues of life for myself and figure those things out for myself overall.”

He denied “trying to play the victim” and apologized to his ex-fiancée “for the way things played out.”

Tran, who is training to compete on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars,” has yet to publicly respond to her ex’s video. Her rep did not return Page Six’s request for comment.

The aspiring physician assistant confronted Strader during “After the Final Rose,” which aired on Sept. 3, and called him out for showing interest in Georgas, who was then forced to clear the air herself.

“Hearing my name, I understand Jenn having to speak up about it. Say your piece, girlfriend, I respect it. I just think that without the full context, it leads people to believe a whole different narrative,” Georgas, 30, said in a TikTok video last week.

The executive assistant, who competed on Joey Graziadei’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year, denied ever meeting up with Strader in person and said she “didn’t know” he had followed her on social media.

“I can’t control who follows who, but what I can control is what I do about it, and what I’m doing is not following back, and I never followed back, and now seeing how things transpired, I will never follow him,” she said.

“I have nothing to do with the ending of the relationship.”
