Golden Globe nominee Ariana Grande (a.k.a. Ariana Grande-Butera) is already teasing her next big project.
Off the heels of her star-ascending role in the big-screen adaptation of “Wicked,” the 31-year-old multifaceted entertainer is opening up about what fans can expect to see from her in the coming months.
Grande recently expressed her desire to stay active in the acting world following her performance in “Wicked” as the future Good Witch of Oz, Galinda/Glinda Upland.

Ariana Grande Says ‘Something’ New Is Coming Out Soon
While walking the red carpet for Sunday night’s Golden Globes, Grande fielded questions from reporters regarding plans for potential new music.
“It’s not something I’m thinking about right now,” the performer admitted, “but, you know, there’s something I made last year that will come out eventually. It’s an attachment of ‘Eternal Sunshine.’ So, that does exist, and that will be coming out at some point.”
Grande released “Eternal Sunshine,” her seventh studio album, last March to both fan and critical acclaim. Led by the bouncy first single, “Yes, And?,” the body of work became the singer’s sixth No. 1 album on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

What Ariana Grande Has Said About The Album’s ‘Attachment’
Though it is currently unclear what said “attachment” could look like, Grande has opened up previously about her plans to extend the shelf-life of “Eternal Sunshine” as far as possible.
In an Instagram post from April, she expressed, “I cannot wait for everything that [has] yet to come within this [album] cycle (that has only just begun & may it never end).”
To Grande’s credit, she has already fulfilled that promise twice.
Per Rolling Stone, an expanded edition of the set, known as the “Slightly Deluxe” version, featuring remixes with guest singers Mariah Carey and Troye Sivan, would follow less than a week after its March release date.

Grande then rolled out another extended rendition of “Eternal Sunshine,” the “Slightly Deluxe and Also Live” edition, with re-recorded takes of several album tracks with a 10-piece orchestra, last October.
What can be said for certain, however, is that the “attachment” will not include any new music.
“I’m not in the studio at the moment,” Grande would later state on Sunday evening.

No Golden Globes Glory For Ariana Grande, But She's Already A Big Winner
Sadly, Grande failed to garner any wins during this year’s Golden Globes ceremony.
Originally up for the Actress category in Best Supporting Performance in a Motion Picture for “Wicked,” the young entertainer lost the accolade to Zoe Saldana for her role in “Emilia Pérez.”
Nonetheless, Grande would appear on stage with the main cast of “Wicked,” including Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum, to support director John Chu for his Cinematic and Box Office Achievement win.
While accepting the award, Chu gave a shout-out to the “beautiful” cast of the film and his parents, who he says adored “The Wizard of Oz.”

“They'd tell us about the yellow brick road and the place over the rainbow, where all dreams come true if you dare to dream it,” Chu said. “I'm up here looking at you, living the dream, and looking at this beautiful, beautiful cast. It's more beautiful than I ever thought it could be.”
Last week, Grande received her first “Wicked”-related accolade of the year: the Rising Star award at the Palm Springs International Festival. It is her first major achievement for acting.
"You don't know how much it means to me," Grande told the audience, as reported by PEOPLE. "I've been performing since I was a child, so I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words 'rising star' again.”
She then jokingly thanked “two friends” who helped along the way: “Botox and Juvederm."
Fans Question Why A Touching Scene From ‘Wicked’ Was Deleted
With “Wicked” now available for digital release, fans were treated to several deleted scenes from the musical drama, including one with Grande that some believe should’ve remained intact.
(Spoilers from “Wicked” are ahead).
In the clip, which has gone viral, Grande as Galinda Upland sits in a study with fellow student and close friend Elphaba Thropp (Erivo), the future Wicked Witch of the West, as they seemingly prep for a lesson with Madame Morrible (Yeoh).
After Galinda tries and fails to get a coin to levitate, she questions Elphaba about leaving her behind on an excursion to release a caged lion cub with Fiyero, Galinda’s love interest (played by "Bridgerton" star Jonathan Bailey).
“I would’ve helped you,” Galinda states with honesty. “If you needed someone, it could’ve been me.”

The emotional confession causes Elphaba to look at her friend with newfound empathy, and make a pact.
“I’m sorry. I made a mistake,” she tells Galinda. “I won’t leave you behind again.”
