Angel Reese’s Signature Barbie doll has sold out at major retailers days after its release.

In a new post on X, formerly Twitter, the LSU alum, who was nicknamed the Bayou Barbie, boasted about the epic achievement.

Last week, Angel Reese opened up about how much receiving a Barbie in her likeness meant to her, stating that she hoped to inspire the next generation of female athletes to reach for the stars.

Reese, 24, recently celebrated her Signature Barbie being sold out with an online post, asking her nearly 750,000 X followers to tag themselves in photos with the product.

“BARBIE SOLD OUT ON AMAZON & MATTEL. I love you guys! Thank you for the support!” she captioned the post. “#WhereIsBarbieAngel.”

Her followers reacted to the news with glee, as one vocal supporter added, “Congratulations, but it’s sold out [at] Walmart as well!”

Another user added, “You deserve it, darling. You didn’t have to change who you are to get your own Barbie. You are 1 of 1. You are who I want my daughters to look up to.”

Reese was honored with her own Barbie just days ago, according to a previous report from The Blast. She celebrated the start of WNBA All-Star weekend with the news, showcasing the collectible, which comes decked out in all-pink attire, a matching leg sleeve, and an upcoming “Barbie” colorway of Reese’s signature Reebok shoe.

Vice President and Head of Barbie Nathan Baynard celebrated the historic moment in a press release sent to The Blast, calling Reese the ideal partner for the iconic brand. In his statement, Baynard said the Atlanta Dream star embodies the spirit of Barbie in a way only she can.

“Barbie honors role models who inspire girls to imagine what’s possible. From her on-court achievements and entrepreneurial leadership to her tireless advocacy for girls, Angel Reese is helping children see that confidence, ambition, and resilience can open countless doors. Reese’s collaboration with Barbie marks the latest major partnership the WNBA superstar has added to her growing resume. In her statement sent to The Blast, the 2x WNBA leading rebounder said that having her own doll is a “dream come true” for many reasons.

“It’s such an incredible honor because it’s about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve,” she said. “I’ve never let anyone else define what’s possible for me, and every challenge I’ve faced has only made me stronger. I hope this doll reminds girls to be unapologetically themselves, embrace every part of who they are, and go after their dreams with confidence.”

Reese, who received the nickname “Bayou Barbie” while playing for the LSU Tigers during the 2022-23 season, said being rewarded with a Barbie is a “surreal” moment.

She also praised the iconic company for getting all of the details on her doll exactly right, adding that she loves that it “truly feels like me.”

Continuing, Reese said her Barbie reflects two things: her love for basketball and fashion. “I’ve always believed you never have to choose between being fierce on the court and expressing who you are off it,” she said.

“Seeing every little detail come together made this incredibly personal, and it was one of those moments where everything I’ve worked so hard for really hit me,” she added.

During WNBA All-Star weekend, several W stars shared their thoughts on seeing Reese as a real-life Barbie.

Toronto Tempo star Marina Mabrey said it was “so cool” seeing her former Chicago Sky teammate as a collectible. “She’s really paving the way for female athletes to be branded and NIL. If I owned a business, I would sign Angel Reese for sure.”

Golden State Valkyries star Gabby Williams shared a similar message, saying seeing Reese as a Barbie would inspire so many young athletes.

“I’ve always been an Angel fan; I’ve been very vocal about that, so I’m definitely going to go to Target and go grab me one…What I love is that this is just authentically her. I think that’s the coolest part,” she added.
