Adi Hütter's return to Eintracht Frankfurt is on the brink of completion, according to the latest update from Sky Germany.
The pay-TV channel understands that a full agreement has been reached by both parties after talks progressed on Saturday night.
As a result, the 56-year-old will become the successor to Albert Riera, who was laid off after his short but turbulent spell at the club.
Hütter is expected to put pen to paper on a contract which will last until 2029, and the official announcement is set for today, 31 May.
The Austrian, who coached the Hessen club between 2018 and 2021, is believed to have impressed the bosses during talks.
Frankfurt also want to secure his experience and authority, hoping he is the candidate to bring stability and calm back to the club.
