Hamilton Police said they were contacted on Saturday after video recordings were allegedly discovered by a witness.
“A preliminary review of the materials revealed multiple recordings depicting individuals in private settings without their knowledge or consent,” police alleged in a statement released Wednesday.
“Investigators believe the videos were captured using hidden recording devices placed in locations where individuals had a reasonable expectation of privacy.”

Recordings may span between 2007 and 2025
Police said the recordings are believed to span several years – between 2007 and 2025.
“At this time, investigators have not identified all individuals depicted in the videos,” police added.
As a result of the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested.
Jason Machado, 40, is charged with three counts of voyeurism.
