A-lister replacing Carson Daly as host of ‘The Voice’ after 30 seasons revealed

Keke Palmer will be taking over as host of “The Voice,” for Season 31, the actress said in a social media video on Tuesday.

“That’s right. It’s true. I’m hosting ‘The Voice.’ I’ll see you guys there,” Palmer, 32, said via Instagram in a joint post with NBC and “The Voice” on Tuesday.

The caption read, “You already know who it is! Keke Palmer hosts The Voice Season 31 coming in 2027 on NBC.”

According to a press release from the network, the season, dubbed “The Voice: Celebrity,” is “an extension of the longstanding series.” It further explains, “This special season swaps undiscovered talent for a wide range of celebrities — actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars — competing to become the first ‘Voice’ celebrity champion.”

Celebrity coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green are returning, while Joe Jonas will make his debut in the role.

Daly quietly exited the show after 30 seasons due to the demands of his competing duties as a co-anchor on the “Today” show and wanting to spend more time with his family, the US Sun reported Friday. He will continue on as a producer of the show.

“He wasn’t able to make the upcoming season’s schedule work with his ‘Today’ show schedule,” a source told the outlet. “So his ‘Today’ workload mixed with not wanting to be away from family this next year made him say no to hosting 31.”

Season 30, which is currently filming with Daly as its host, is scheduled to premiere in September.

The insider added that Daly remains an executive producer on “The Voice,” and that he could still possibly return for Season 32 if he wants.

Page Six reached out to Daly’s rep as well as NBC for comment, but didn’t receive an immediate response back.

Daly has been the only host of “The Voice” since the show premiered in 2011. He’s been on the “Today” show since 2013.

Daly, 53, has been married to his wife, Siri Pinter, since December 2015. They share four kids together — son Jackson, 17, and daughters Etta, 13, London, 11, and Goldie, 6.

In May, he jokingly admitted he and his teenage daughter Etta hardly talk anymore.

He explained he has a much easier time talking to her through Snapchat, an app that lets users send messages that disappear.

“You ever hear that phrase, ‘You’ve got to meet kids where they are?’ You hear it in business a lot, right? They want to advertise, get in front of them,” he noted.

“I’ve taken a page out of that and six months ago, I did join Snapchat,” he continued. “I have literally communicated with my daughter, in particular, more via Snapchat than I have in real life.”

The busy former “Total Request Live” host has been candid about mental health struggles, including dealing with anxiety and panick attacks, in the past. Back in October 2024, Daly told Page Six at the Project Healthy Minds Gala that doing a daily ice-cold plunge has helped him immensely.

“One year ago I was at this event at maybe one of the lower points in my mental health,” he told us. “Physically and mentally, I was a wreck, and I thought, ‘Next year I want to get better.”

He added of his daily two-minute ritual in 40-degree water, “It’s really hard to do, and it turns out doing hard things is good for you.”
