Dominik Mysterio is poised to face Rusev and Penta with the Intercontinental title on the line at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, with the kind of physical state Penta and Rusev are in, and given that Mysterio is bound to use his tricks, the most likely scenario is that the Judgment Day protagonist will retain his title and somehow emerge victorious over Rusev and Penta.
4 Jade Cargill to Become the New Undisputed WWE Women’s Champion

🚨 HOT TAKE 🚨
Jade Cargill should BEAT Tiffany Stratton for the title at SNME.
Tiffany's reign has been underwhelming, tbh no memorable feuds & 300 days as champion with zero standout matches.

In all likelihood, Cargill will defeat Stratton and emerge as the next Women’s Champion. This will mark the end of Tiffy-time in the women’s locker room, and most likely, the company will head towards the return of Bianca Belair, and the beginning of the storyline feud between Belair and Cargill.
3 Cody Rhodes Defends His Title in a Hard-Fought Clash With Outside Intervention

The feud reached new heated levels when the Number 1 contenders’ match during the October 17, 2025, edition of Friday Night SmackDown (via WWE) between Jacob Fatu and McIntyre got canceled due to a backstage assault on the Samoan Warewolf.
Cody Rhodes directly alleged that McIntyre was involved in this attack. As a result, the feud between the Scottish Warrior and American Nightmare was locked in at that moment, with animosity reaching unprecedented levels. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, Rhodes will successfully manage to defend his title, although the clash is expected to turn out to be an exhaustive one.
Subsequently, Jacob Fatu is expected to make a return with a crucial intervention that will seal the fate of the clash in Cody Rhodes’s favor.
2 CM Punk to Become the New World Heavyweight Champion

Subsequently, Jey Uso won the battle royal during the October 20, 2025, edition of Monday Night RAW (via WWE) and secured a place for himself against Punk on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

— Teffo (@Teffo_01) August 3, 2025However, CM Punk has already touched title glory once during SummerSlam 2025 after defeating Gunther in a violent clash. But his moment was stolen with Rollins pulling out the ‘ruse of the century.’ WWE creative heads will likely compensate Punk for the way the Second City Saint lost the title, particularly after many fans believe his opportunity was stolen from him.
1 Gunther Returns to WWE
Gunther as the World Heavyweight Champion. (Image Credit: WWE)WWE has teased the return of a superstar with vignettes featuring the footsteps of a mysterious person. Many in the professional wrestling community believe that Gunther is the man in these vignettes. The WWE universe has not seen the Ring General for some time now. He has been out of WWE programming ever since his head was botched open during his clash against Punk, which contributed to his loss at SummerSlam 2025.
Months later, Punk is still chasing the title, and with Rollins supposedly out of action due to injury, this is the perfect chance for Gunther to make a comeback and seek some sort of revenge against Punk and become his first rival if he wins the World Heavyweight title against Jey Uso, which appears to be the likely scenario.
Additionally, Gunther is also likely to become John Cena’s final WWE opponent in his retirement match on December 13, and the company would like to build some momentum around it with the return of the Ring General.
Saturday Night’s Main Event promises to be a star-studded night with consequential clashes all around, and high-stakes developments in existing storylines are bound to take place. What remains to be seen is the manner in which these matches culminate inside the squared circle and what further twists are poised to happen in WWE storylines.
