York Regional Police said four people have been arrested and cops are seeking a fifth suspect in an armed home invasion in Richmond Hill Monday morning.

Police said multiple suspects, armed with at least one firearm, forced their way into the residence in the May Ave.-Yonge St. area.

They allegedly confronted the victim and assaulted him.

Police said the firearm was discharged during the assault, but the victim was not hit by gunfire.

The suspects fled before police arrived at the scene.

Police said officers found the victim outside the home suffering from serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a trauma centre for medical treatment.

Police identified the suspect vehicle as a black Cadillac Escalade, which was later spotted by the Ontario Provincial Police on Hwy. 401 in Cobourg.

A female driver, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, was arrested.

Police said investigators then identified three other suspects, who were taken into custody.

Georges-Junior Saint-Elien, 31, of Terrebonne, Que., has been charged with robbery with a firearm and disguise with intent.

Christopher Fils-Aime, 25, of no fixed address, is facing several charges, including robbery with a firearm and discharging a firearm with intent.

Ivy Hewes, 24, of no fixed address, and Justin Johnson, 25, of Toronto, have both been charged with accessory after the fact to robbery with a firearm.

Police said they’re seeking a fifth suspect, which they described as a Black male. He was seen wearing a grey hoodie, black pants and white shoes.

Suspect arrested in Scarborough stabbing: Police

Toronto Police said a man was stabbed in the Malvern area Tuesday afternoon and a suspect was arrested shortly after.

In a post on X, police said officers were called to the Sewells Rd.-Neilson Rd. area at 3:54 p.m. following reports of a stabbing.

Officers at the scene found a man in his 40s, suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound.

In a subsequent post on X, police said a male suspect was arrested, adding that there was no risk to public safety.

Woman sought in theft: OPP

The Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public to help identify a woman linked to a theft investigation in which a stolen bank card was later used in the Toronto area.

The OPP said the bank card was reported stolen in the area of Mitchell, Ont, on May 26.

Police said the bank card was then used to make withdrawals in the Etobicoke area.

The OPP have released three photos of the person of interest, describing her as in her early 20s, with an average build, and dark brown hair. She was seen wearing all dark clothing.

Man charged in Brampton hit-and-run

Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a man following a hit-and-run collision in Brampton that left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.

On April 13, shortly after 5 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Bovaird D. and McLaughlin Rd. after a pedestrian was struck by multiple vehicles.

Investigators determined that the pedestrian was first struck by a dark blue Toyota RAV4, whose driver failed to remain at the scene.

The pedestrian was subsequently struck by a passing vehicle whose driver remained at the scene.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Following a thorough investigation, 65-year-old Abdillahi Farah Idere of Brampton was arrested and charged with failure to stop after accident resulting in bodily harm and careless driving causing bodily harm.
