Toronto Police say two people are dead following an active shooter incident in the area of St. Clair Ave. W. and Arlington Ave. Saturday night.

Police said on social media that the shooting occurred at approximately 8:10 p.m. and there are multiple injuries.

The Salsa on St. Clair festival, which has closed down the street from Winona Dr. to Christie St. is currently taking place in the area.

In a subsequent update, police said five people were found with gunshot wounds and two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are advising people to stay away from the area.
